Dan Says:

“Guiding a family, work colleagues, or group of friends in a private tour is great because they can set the agenda. Want to see more street art? No problem. Mid-tour beer break? Absolutely. Stop for shopping? The three hours are yours to define.”

Wonderful three hour private tour of Melbourne. With a few questions, our tour guide was able to customize a tour for our family. This included the various arcades, street, art, state, library, lightning, ridge, opal, store, and chocolate shop! Hugo was knowledgeable and patient. Our kids are nine and 11 and we deviated from the original plan a few times. Hugo could not have been better! Private tours are worth the extra money, and this was done extremely well.

Marc was our guide and he was both entertaining and informative. He asked us what sites in Melbourne we wanted to see and then tailor made our tour to our interests. It was a warm afternoon in the summer so we asked Marc to take us to a gelato shop to cool down. We finished are tour at a rooftop bar called Goldi Locks. Loved this tour!

Contrast our gorgeous gold rush architecture with the modern and learn the hidden symbolism behind our newer buildings.

Explore Melbourne’s renowned multicultural food scene. At your request, your guide can take you to a favourite local restaurant (at your expense) for a taste of one of the many cuisines Melbourne is known for. Or perhaps just a quick stop at one of the city’s many cafes. Be amazed at the quality and diversity of the Street Art Scene. Melbourne has gained an international reputation for its ‘graffiti’ let your guide explain why this occurred and be shown some of the famous examples or perhaps the lesser-known gems in our famous laneways.

Perhaps you would like to end the tour with a drink – you will have earned it! Melbourne is blessed with an array of fun and fabulous bars, but you need a local to tell you which ones are hot at this very moment. Your guide can take you to a classic Australian pub, trendy rooftop bar or hidden speakeasy to finish things off with a drink and a final chat.
