Title — Tour Guide / Location — Twin Cities / Wage — $25/hour
Contract type — Hourly (est. 15-25 hrs/wk) / Reports to — Founding Director
Start date — ASAP
Background
Since 2017 Depot Adventures has offered small group walking tours in Australia. Starting this summer, Depot expanded to the Twin Cities and we’re looking for the folks who will help shape this new and exciting operation.
At Depot, we believe that the relationship with a tour guide is far more memorable than any one fact about a city. Making connections with our guests is what we do best. Yes, we can tell you about the history of the city, but Depot guides make the difference with personalized, specific recommendations and stories based on their lived experience.
Drawing from unique and diverse personalities, our team includes a diverse cast of beermakers, musicians, comedians and actors who share a passion for the cities they guide in.
Opportunity:
We’re looking for a versatile tour guide who can quickly adapt to a variety of settings. Don’t worry if you’ve never been a tour guide — we’re looking for folks who are the life of the party, command the attention of the room in a conversation, and have the ability to disarm even the surliest guests.
Our most successful past candidates have not only been experienced tour guides but summer camp counselors, multi-day tour guides, stand-up comedians, actors and hospitality staff.
