What should I wear?
comfortable, weather-appropriate, and ready for a few hours on your feet.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking around the city.
We recommend avoiding high heels, as there’s a fair bit of walking involved. Beachwear isn’t advised either — we sometimes like to go into buildings that require covered shoulders.
How long is a typical tour?
Most of our tours run for around 2.5 – 3 hours, which we find is the perfect amount of time to explore, walk, stop for a drink and soak up the atmosphere without feeling rushed.
For private and corporate bookings, timings can be adjusted slightly to suit your schedule — just let us know what you have in mind.
What if it rains?
We still go ahead! Melbourne weather is part of the experience, and our guides are great at adapting the route when needed.
If it’s looking a little gloomy, we recommend wearing warm, dry clothing and bringing a raincoat or umbrella. We’ll do our best to keep walking sections covered where possible, and our guides are always looking out for the group to make sure everyone stays comfortable — rain or shine.
Can I book a tour for a stag do, hens party, birthday or work group?
Absolutely! However, we keep our public tours open to the public as the group sizes are capped.

How big are the group sizes?
We cap our public tour group size at 12 people to ensure each person has the chance to have a personal experience with the tour guide and one another.

How much walking will there be?
We walk for around 2-3 miles over the course of 3 hours in Melbourne, which is very flat. With small groups and free trams in the city center, we can accommodate all walking paces and we take two breaks during the tour.
Are you tours accessible/wheelchair/pram/stroller friendly?
Yes they are! As a courtesy, we’d appreciate a heads up as some buildings require notice to make their accessible entrance available to us.
